As of July 21 Luke and I have been married for 1 year! To celebrate our anniversary Luke took me to Jacmel; a beautiful town on the Caribbean side of Haiti! After church on Sunday we packed up and headed to Jacmel. After battling our way through down town Port-au-Prince, we settled in for a beautiful ride up through the mountains of Haiti. About two hours later we arrived in Jacmel and at
Cap Lamandou (our hotel). We had a beautiful room that provided us with air conditioning, TV, electricity (most of the time), and a gorgeous view of the Caribbean Ocean! What more could we ask for? We had a great time checking out the beaches, driving around the town, and looking at the different shops!
Our Hotel :)
While out on one of our drives we passed by a fire station. It was odd enough to see a fire station in Haiti, but one of the fire engines were from Litchfield, NH! We thought that was pretty cool!
We are now back in Port-au-Prince, and praise the Lord our home is fine! We are trying to get A LOT of stuff done during our last week here, and your prayers are much appreciated! We cannot wait to see all our friends and family back home, but we are really going to miss our friends and family here in Haiti! See you all soon!

Bananas scare me to begin with...much less piled high on truck a guy riding on top of them. Now I have a good excuse to never eat a banana again.
What lovely pictures, but the palm tree one made me dizzy..lol...I am so glad you had a good time. Happy Anniversary you two. Love mom
